Petfusion was born out of a desire to revolutionize the pet industry. As pet owners ourselves, we were frustrated with the lack of high-quality and thoughtfully designed pet products on the market. We knew pets deserved better. So we assembled a team of dedicated pet lovers and product designers to create a new kind of pet brand focused on the health, comfort, and enrichment of pets.
Unlike traditional pet companies, Petfusion takes inspiration from the wider world of human product design. We draw on innovations in fields like athletic equipment, consumer electronics, and furniture to make pet products that are equal in sophistication. For example, our dog beds feature medical-grade memory foam, while our cat scratchers are made of sustainable compressed cardboard.
But utility alone isn’t enough. We want to make products that owners are proud to have in their homes. That’s why our team includes artists and industrial designers who create products that are as stylish as they are practical. Subtle design touches like colorblocking, angled walls, and recessed surfaces give our products a clean, modern aesthetic.

Every Petfusion product follows a thoughtful design and production process:
Research
We extensively research pets’ needs and behaviors, emerging material science, and the latest human-design innovations. This allows us to fully understand the design challenges at hand before beginning prototyping.
Prototyping
Our product designers create multiple prototypes and concept models. We test different shapes, fabrics, foam densities and cardboard textures to find the optimal combination.
Testing
Next, we conduct rigorous tests of our prototypes’ durability, comfort and functionality. We invite pets and owners to try the products at home and provide feedback. This allows us to refine details to best meet pets’ preferences.
Production
After finalizing a design, we partner with specialized factories to produce each item. We oversee production to ensure strict quality control and ethical working conditions.
Evaluation
Even after a product’s release, we continue testing it and soliciting pet parent reviews. This helps us identify potential improvements for future updates and new versions.

We’re led by our CEO and co-founder James Zhou, who oversees Petfusion’s brand vision and strategy. James brings decades of experience in manufacturing and global supply chains. He’s driven by a personal passion to enrich all pets’ lives through thoughtfully designed products.
Guiding our product design is VP of Product Danial Adeniji, a renowned industrial designer. Danial previously worked for brands like Target and led the product team behind Casper mattresses before joining Petfusion. He heads the design process for all new Petfusion products.
Our talented design team includes artists like Lauren Kim, who hand-sketches concepts, and CAD modelers like Tyler Austin, who brings ideas to digital life. Together, they create beautiful yet functional products suited to improving pets’ quality of life in home environments.
On the production side, project managers like Olivia Chen oversee collaborations with our network of trusted manufacturing partners. They ensure ethical working standards and rigorous quality control throughout the production process.
Customer experience manager Diana Ha heads our client services team who handle product support and our 100-night trial and warranty programs. Diana makes sure every customer is fully supported as a valuable member of the Petfusion community.
